- Definition of Practice: What we do in our course / job. E.g. what an artist or designer does.
- First year is spent practicing every area of the industry so as to get better at more than one area and so as to open up your mind to new areas and ideas.
- What contexts we will look at – Historical, Social, Cultural, Geographical and Political.
- Answer the following question for next week – ‘What is your context?’
- In answer to the question, does it mean both as a games designer/student and a human being? Or maybe I am meant to talk about it as if I am analysing my own persona or what is expected of me by people?
- I will also need to bring in a screenshot of a video game for next week. The image must include at least one figure and some sort of background.
- Alternatively, I may wish to bring in a game advert (static) or poster.
- Screenshot ideas?

Mario jumping up for a power up.
o
Video game character standing in a generic pose
so as to complain about the over usage of this style of cover art.
o

in one part of your case.
o
Kanji from Persona 4 as he has multiple
personalities or perhaps all the characters. :)

Or Snake from Metal Gear Solid as his ability to
hide from trained guards in cardboard boxes and move in them whilst doing so
pushes reality.
